I was surprised with the functionalities or features of this 2-way car alarm system with remote starter. I was able to installed it successfully and was very happy with the product. It wasn't easy to install and need a lot of research since this is my first time I'm installing an alarm system to my Toyota 4Runner 1997. The price is really a great deal, I can't find as low as this one with cool functionalities. I'm planning on buying another one for my 4Runner 2008 model. If you are planning to install it by yourself you need to read the manual very careful and find more help in the internet because of the complexity. Youtube is a good resource and finding the wire color coding for your specific car in the internet will be a great help! Overall this product is awesome and I highly recommended! Not to forget the seller, the item was delivered fast and the product is in good condition. Thank you!!!

i payed to have professional installed cost like 160 but is awsome on cold days to start up befor i get to car its always warmed up pages u if alarm is tamperd with.. overall dam good alarm...

I have bought this item with the idea of starting my car remotely only to find out that I need a module to do so. Im not bashing the device, just saying that I thought all the things necessary would of come with it seeing that they had WITH REMOTE START on their box. It would of been helpful if they had recommendations for modules or a website with an in-dept manual about the remote feature but now I have this alarm WITH OUT remote start... and it pisses me off! Updated Sorry as I did not know a bypass module was needed for cars with a sensor in the key. The alarm is loaded with features and operates very well. I hope my ignorance did not steer potential buyers else where but as for this alarm; this is a winner.

How to Protect Your Car from Fresno Auto Thieves

Fresno, Calif. (KMPH News) – It took one man less than 20 seconds to break into a parked BMW. The video posted on YouTube shows the thief breaking the car window with a screw driver and ripping–off the GPS system.
It's a scene that's become all too familiar to Fresno car owners these days.
"My truck has been broken into," Ryan Arnold said. "They just broke my handle, got in and took some of my stuff."
As of right now Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says auto theft and burglary is up 51% over last year.
Within the past 24–hours officers have arrested seven people who they say were operating a chop shop.
All week KMPH news has showed you car after car, stolen, recovered and some reduced to a pile of pieces.
In one case the thieves defeated all the anti–theft measures....an alarm, a club and a brake pedal lock.
"I was shocked that they went through all that trouble just to get the car, I was comfortable with my security system," the victim said.

“DEI learned that tariffs of certain products may have been misclassified. In response, the company with the full support of its board of directors retained expert customs counsel to review in detail and reclassify any incorrect tariffs. DEI voluntarily disclosed the tariff misclassifications to the U.S. Customs Service and agreed to pay any customs duties owed under the law. The company believes all its products have the proper tariff classifications today.”
The Vista car-alarm company once owned by Congressman Darrell Issa was paying about half the required tariffs on certain parts it imported from China for years and paid an estimated $2.5 million in back duties earlier this year to rectify the situation.
Issa no longer owns DEI Holdings Inc., although he is still on the board of the company, which is being sold to Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners for $285 million in cash.

Replacing a remote car alarm keychain for a car?
Jan 05, 2008 by kulaboy2000My remote car alarm (the thing that attachs to my keychain to lock and unlock the car) for my '03 Toyota snapped off and I can't seem to get it fixed. I was only given only of these alarms because I bought the truck new. I called Toyota, and apparently a replacement will cost $120 plus $40 programming charge! Does anyone know anywhere else one can buy these remote car alarms, perhaps at a slightly cheaper price? Or can you only buy them from the dealer?
