JVC car CD player skips when bass is turned up.?
Feb 17, 2007 by JasonStebbins
I have a 200 Watt JVC cd player in my car. It's a really good CD player, and the system is hooked up properly. I have a 760 Watt amp connected to the fuse box. My question is, whenever I turn my bass up (not ridiculously loud) the songs start to skip. It's a brand new Memorex CD burned at 2x, I just made it last night. I'm thinking maybe it's because the player overheats? Wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to why it does this. Kind of sucks because my system sounds pretty good but the CD starts skipping after playing for like 15 minutes. Also, after that 15 minutes, when I change the song, the player like squeaks in between the song change, you can hear it in the speakers. Thanks in advance.
It doesn't skip because of bumps. It's never skipped because of a bump. What a dumb question, obviously I would know if it was because of bumps. It starts doing it after I have it turned up for like 15 minutes. There's nothing wrong with a JVC, it's a 2 month old very nice player, thanks for your input though guitar.
Models of the JVC is not anti-skip ... clear.

jvc car cd player will not play my cd-r burned discs?
May 08, 2009 by gazajim
Hello all i bought a car last week and it has got a jvc cd player in it but will not play my cd-r discs is there anything i can do ? like buy different discs or will i have to buy a new cd player to play my burned discs ? Many thanks
i used windows media player to burn the disc and at the end of the burn it said closing disc if that is any help ? Sorry
Some will not play burned discs ever.
Have you finalised the discs at the end of the recording and done them as a single session - if not that might be stopping them working.
Are they recorded in the correct format for the car player?
