Jun 24, 2011 | Royal Avenue and Columbus Avenue, 6-22-11: The complainant reported seeing three male suspects approach his neighbor’s car. One of the suspects entered the unlocked vehicle. The suspects then walked to another neighbor’s vehicle and attempted to enter it. Royal Oak officers arrived on the scene and placed the three suspects under arrest for tampering with a motor vehicle. Bank of America, 509 E. Thirteen Mile, 6-22-11: Employees of the bank reported that a white male suspect entered the bank, pointed a gun at the tellers and demanded money from the various work stations. The suspect fled in a silver vehicle described as a Toyota Prius. Royal Oak officers responded and working in conjunction with the FBI received information on the suspect’s identity. The suspect was arrested later that night.

Manville Police seize backpacks of stolen car radios, GPS units; three men jailed

Three men have been arrested after they were caught with backpacks stuffed with stolen electronic equipment removed from 16 cars, the Somerset County Prosecutor reported on Friday.

The men were wearing dark colored, mud-splattered clothes when Manville Police spotted them at about 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15 walking over the Van Veghten Bridge on Main Street, across from Adessa Auto Auctions.

A joint statement by the prosecutor’s office and Manville Police said the patrol officer found combination satellite radio/DVD player/navigation units in the backpacks and hidden under the bridge. A search of the Adesa Auto Auction’s parking lot revealed that the units were removed from 16 vehicles.

Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano and Manville Police Chief Mark Peltack on Friday announced the arrests of Kenneth J. Wiles, 21, of Old York Road in Bridgewater; Joseph S. Hegyi, 22, of West Main Street in Somerville; and Sean M. Niles, 24, of Knoxville, Tennessee.

How reliable Car DVD, GPS, Bluetooth, IPOD Ready Player from Hong Kong on eBay?

How reliable the car DVD player esp. 7” double din which offers GPS, IPOD input, Bluetooth and all those are generic brand and from Hong Kong on eBay, they are around 350 and offer everything but I am scared to buy one, if the quality is not good or something happened after one or two months, please give me suggestions that I should go those or I should avoid those.
A lot of times Chinese products are cheap knock offs when you buy them on ebay. Check the sellers rating even then I wouldn't really trust it. I bought a "name brand" memory card from China before and it came in and it was bootleg and froze after taking a few pictures, I later read their feedback and that seller had a habit of that. Next when I tried contacting them they were gone from eBay.

So the price may be tempting but I wouldn't risk it.

Amazon has some good deals on in dash dvd players and you don't have to worry about them scamming you
