Pioneer - I've Done Alot Of Research And Pioneer Gives More Control, See Details For My Explanationalpine's hp cross over only drops to 80 hz, pioneer drops to 63 or 50 hz. pioneer offers 16 band eq, alpine offers a standard bass and treble control. pioneer offers full color display with downloadable pics and graphics, alpine does not. pioneer offers 5 volt preouts , alpine offers 4 volt. pioneer offers 12 db/6db phase control, alpine does not. pioneer offers sub level control for each frequency. I like alpine but pioneer gives you way more control of the sound. alpine dials theirs in to what they think it should sound like.I spent 3 hours yesterday to see the show sound pioneer headunits to be winning La headunit and hook graphics turned off.I have a pioneer in my car and it is worth more than money. I never really ski the favorite. With them you have to do things they want you. Pioneer can help you determine what you want more. |
Do I Need A Eq For My System?I have an Alpine IDA-X001 Deck,JL Audio 6.25(2 sets),13W7 subwoofer,1000/1 JL Audio Amp.I want to add the Alpine RUX-C701 processor to my system.JL audio website says the 13 doesn't need any processors or eq.I still want it for my highs though.Do you think it's a good idea or a waste of money?I'm also running a 300/4 for my highs it also JL audio.My highs sounds good right now,but i haven't added the sub yet.Do you think the 13 will drown out my highs?Ok...first, ditch that pile of shit deck....and go buy one with some more sound control on it. I believe the IDA only controls bass and treble. Alpine makes a myraid of decks that handle frequency width and Q. That is really all you need. Adding an EQ would mean you need to know what you are doing with it....and I am sorry, just the fact that you are askin this question show that you CLEARLY don't know what you are doing. An EQ would just confuse the shit out of you. |
