Have now used this dock several times, and have none of the issues other reviewers have. Slides easily in and out, allows me to navigate, search, play music, make and receive calls while driving and charge the Razr...which is about all I would ever do while driving. Allows my bluetooth headset voice to talk and listen...I have a Sound ID Six bluetooth headset. Pricey...yes, a bit for a car dock. Charging cord also has an additional slot to charge an mp3 player I believe? This dock also allows for the Motorola car finder app to pop up automatically once you remove the phone from the dock so you can later find your car in case you've forgotten where you parked. The dock does not allow for sending or receiving text messages which is a wonderful safety feature in this wild and crazy driving world we find ourselves in. So, is it fantastic, no. Does it work well, yes.

I purchased this dock to make the use of navigation on my phone better. It works great. I have read another review where the person complains about the fit and the connection. I do not think that this is a problem with the dock I was able to plug it in and use it with no problems whatsoever. I was able to use the dock with my Amzer Luxe Argyle TPU case and it fits perfectly. I just popped out the insert and put my phone in and it connects without any problem. The access is quick and easy and makes this dock a handy accessory for the RAZR.I recommend that anyone with the RAZR invest in this accessory as I have found it to be the most useful one yet.

Verizon sells a similar dock in their stores and it costs less than this dock. HOWEVER, in their box, all you get is the dock and an audio cable, no car charger and it does not have the 2:1 dock cable that gives you the capability to 1. have just one cable drop from the dock if you want to use your in-car sound system auxiliary input with your phone and 2. the ability to insert your phone, slide in the dock connector and be connected. With theirs, you must also insert the audio cable (mini-phone plug) into the audio out of your phone, after putting your phone in the dock. Not a big hassle, but a hassle. So, in my opinion, the extra cost for this model is justified.One caveat: Using the unique 2:1 cable connection to connect to your aux input only works if you do not have the bluetooth connection active. If you use the extra cable, you can listen to the phone thru your sound system, and talk into a bluetooth hands-free unit. I would like to see the dock/special cable...

homeowners nab suspected prowler, hold him for police
May 24, 2011 |A group of Waterford Township homeowners caught a man suspected of breaking into neighborhood cars early Monday and held him until police arrived.
Police investigators found a cache of GPS navigation units, a cell phone, a DVD player and head phones in the 19-year-old West Bloomfield man's backpack at 1:40 a.m., Waterford Township Police Department Sgt. Todd Hasselbach said.
A homeowner in the subdivision at Hospital and Pontiac Lake roads confronted the suspect after spotted the man rifling through a car parked outside. Investigators discovered several cars in the subdivision had been ransacked, Hasselbach said.
Police also arrested a second suspect discovered in the area, a 17-year-old Waterford boy, he added.
Both were arrested for larceny from a vehicle and taken to the Oakland County Jail, where they were being held pending their formal arraignment. Neither lived in the sub where the thefts occurred, Hasselbach said.
