Feb 08, 6027 | No, they do not beat hiking in the forest, along the seashore, or up a steep wooded incline or small mountain, but they were interesting and well worth relating. Also I will talk a bit about an expo that I attended in Halifax and naturally I will tell you about a real hiking experience in a more traditional setting, plus a couple of other things.
First off, I was in Halifax at the Saltscapes Expo at the Exhibition Centre on Prospect Road, which is on the way to Peggy's Cove, only about 20 minutes from downtown Halifax. I was there working a display area with the City of Moncton which, in turn, was in the N.B. area of the hall. In other areas of the large arena and exhibition centre were sections with Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland/Labrador, well represented by companies, services and attractions.
In our little bailiwick, in addition to me, were Judy Dougan, the destination sales & services co-ordinator from the City of Moncton, Bruce Dougan, the manager of the Magnetic Hill Zoo who had with him Kate Whalen, who is an animal wrangler, complete with animals; Susan Chaulk from Fundy National Park, John Jelley, the operations manager of Magic Mountain Water Theme Park, along with Andrew Steeves. Last but not least was the best face painting artist that I or anyone else at the expo has ever seen. Her name is Sherry Mercer and the joy and amazement she brought to the kids, their parents and other adults was something to behold.

Maker of automotive lighting struggles with lawsuit, economy
May 06, 2011 | The suit, filed March 21 in U.S. District Court in Newark, says the three employees — Chief Financial Officer John Bailey; Keith Korchma, vice president of sales and marketing; and Wynsie Chan, an executive vice president — “engaged in a series of calculated, brazen activities to hijack the business” and to “ruthlessly destroy both StreetGlow and its founder.” Rather than hurting the company, Bailey said, he and the two other employees struggled for years to keep it going, sometimes putting their own money into the business. He said StreetGlow’s financial position is now so weak that the de facto owner is George Lee, the company’s Hong Kong supplier. In 2006, StreetGlow’s owners — Panzarella and his uncle and aunt — pledged their stock to Lee’s company as collateral against debt that Bailey says is $10 million to $14 million. As StreetGlow grew, it faced growing debt, cash-flow difficulties and continual inventory shortages, and the “Fast and the Furious”
licensing agreement created a “disaster,” Bailey said. Although StreetGlow couldn’t afford the $500,000 upfront fee, Panzarella, reluctant to lose an opportunity, signed the deal anyway, Bailey said.

(A) Motor vehicles owned or leased by any federal, state, or local law enforcement agency;
(B) Motor vehicles with a permit granted by a state agency to bear such lights; or
(C) Antique, hobby, and special interest vehicles, as defined in subsection (a) of Code Section 40-2-77, which may display a blue light or lights of up to one inch in diameter as part of any such vehicle's rear stop lamps, rear turning indicator, rear hazard lamps, and rear reflectors.
(2) Any person who violates paragraph (1) of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor......
- Blue for sure. You really can't have any color that may mimic the police/fire/ambulance cars colors. If they flashes on/off, that will certainly get the attention of the fuzz & get your butt dragged off to jail. They really have an issue with that. I would do purple or orange. That imo would get the least amount of attention. But you never know what bug they may have up their fannies that day.
