Alpine SXV100 SiriusXM tuner offers advanced satellite radio functions
May 13, 2011 | Alpine Electronics puts its weight behind SiriusXM satellite radio in the car with its announcement of a new line of single-DIN CD receivers that will bear the new SiriusXM-Ready badge, marking their compatibility with the car audio supplier's new SVX100 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit. For the first time, Alpine is offering a bundled SiriusXM tuner and CD receiver package, giving customers a turn-key option for getting satellite radio content through their cars' speakers.
The star of the show is the SXV100 SiriusXM tuner, which provides access to a number of advanced satellite radio features in addition to the standard 180-plus channels received through its magnetic rooftop antenna. For example, users are now able to pause, rewind, and replay up to 30 minutes of satellite radio content from the tuner's internal cache. There's also support for iTunes Tagging to save the info of a playing song for later purchase in the iTunes store--a feature that debuted on HD Radio tuners. Additionally, a selection of notification functions--SongAlert, ArtistAlert, and GameAlert--inform the user when a favorite song, artist, or professional or college sport team is playing on any SiriusXM channel.

Alpine Returns To Black For Fiscal Year
Feb 05, 4949 | For the fiscal year that just ended, however, Alpine posted
a 19.4 percent gain in consolidated net sales to 201.2 billion yen ($2.47 billion),
thanks in part to stepped-up sales efforts in China and increases in
new-vehicle sales outside the Japan market. Operating income rose 486 percent
from the previous year's 226 million yen to 11.2 billion yen ($137.7 million).
And the company posted net income of 6.03 billion yen ($74.2 million) compared
to a year-ago net loss of 1.25 billion yen ($15.4 million), which had been
caused by such extraordinary losses as restructuring, product-warranty
expenses, and investment losses. Net income in 2011 would
have been slightly higher than the posted 6.03 billion yen ($74.2 million) had
it not been for an extraordinary loss of 1.6 billion yen ($19.7 million) caused
by the earthquake, Alpine said. The earthquake damaged the company's
headquarters, other buildings and production equipment, though no lives were
lost. Production resumed March

Should I buy another Alpine car radio / CD player?
Apr 29, 2007 by AngelEyes
My Apline rmovable face car radio / CD player has gone t*ts-up and I need a new one...BAD. (no tunes when I drive)... I can't afford the best of any brand, and would like another Alpine..I just want a removable face again, and am unsure of the brand to get. SONY is good, as is Kenwood, and a few others. Suggestions?
I will sell you my old Alpine cd player the model # is CDE-9852, it's the one that has the IPOD controller on it, you will have to buy the extra cable online or at best buy I think it was $30-$40. how does $50 and shipping sound? If you want it I will go and see how much shipping would be and let you know. I still have the box, manual, and everything, I paid $179 from best buy last year for it. I got the newer version as I needed 3 preout instead of the 1 on this model. Email me at hondab16tuner@yahoo.com if interested. It's just collecting dust in my living room right now.
How do I fix the time on my Alpine cda 7863 car radio?
Nov 07, 2007 by Andrea G
We had a great radio in a great car. The car got totalled. We took the radio out and put it in another car. But the manual is lost. The time has been wrong ever since. Its been months and its driving my crazy. I pushed all kinds of buttons. Help!!
Hold down the 'menu' button until you see the clock digits flashing. Use your volume knob to adjust the hour, press it to move to minutes, use it to adjust the minutes also. When you're done, press the 'menu' button again until you return to the main screen.
Have Fun!
- Look to Alpine for a manual. You might be able to download it.
