The Porsche Panamera Turbo is a five-door, four-seater grand tourer for those who want to ferry up to three passengers in high-speed luxury. The car  promises all the performance of its smaller siblings, with all the creature comforts you'd expect from a grand tourer.

Our review model, which retails for £110,000, features the optional rear-seat entertainment package and high-end Burmester audio system. The base configuration costs around £104,000.

Beauty or beast?

When it comes to its appearance, the Panamera divides opinion like few other cars. The majority of people we encountered said it's  hideous , citing its bloated  Porsche 911 -style rear end and platypus-inspired front as the main offenders. Many of those people, however, changed their minds upon seeing the car in the metal.

By the end of our week-long test period, we'd lost count of the number of people who'd given us a thumbs up as we cruised around. It's by no means a beautiful car, but its unusual dimensions and shape challenge design conventions in a very positive way.

So while an iPhone dock, Bose speakers, and turn-by-turn directions given in the voice of Homer Simpson or even Gary Busey might appeal to those interested in cool car technology, when it comes to actually shopping for a car, those features aren’t nearly as important as advanced safety features.

Americans are most interested in a very specific though basic feature: blind spot detection, according to the 2011 Automotive Emerging Technologies Study released by J.D. Power and Associates .

About 79 percent of those polled by the research firm expressed interest in a blind spot detection feature in their next new car or light truck, according to the study.

Among other safety features J.D. Power found customers were most interested in were active cornering headlight systems. About 72 percent of respondents said they wanted this feature. About 69 percent said they wanted rear-vision camera systems.

When it comes to more entertaining technology, prospective new car buyers said they were most interested in premium sound systems and navigation systems, J.D. Power found.

Are Bose car speakers better than Pioneer speakers?

My car with the factory Bose speakers, but suspect it cost to swap out some speakers Pioneer Premier.
And my own deck Pioneer Premier, but not installed in trucks.
Anytime you ask someone if Bose are quality products they will tell you YES. Many OEM car manufacturers at one time or another used Bose in there top line stereo systems. If it was me and I had the money to upgrade speakers I would either stay with the OEM style and get better ones or go to a custom stereo shop and see what they advice, but there's will be very expensive.

Im about to install a pair of 6*9 Bose car speakers in my truck. What kind of wire Gage do i need?

I don't know much about car speakers and wiring so i thought id ask before i head out and go buying things i don't need! LOL thank you guys.
Larger is always better, 12 gage wire. nothing smaller.
If you are using a separate power amp the manual should indicate what amp you should use.
