I've used Infinity speakers for years and they never fail to impress me. My vehicle has the Kappa line from a few years ago and I also added the Basslink self-powered subwoofer. I decided it was time to replace my wife's factory speakers and seeing that her vehicle is higher mileage, I decided to try the Reference line to see how the entry level speakers compared. WOW! I purchased this set with the 3032cf for the dash and the 6032cf for the doors. Due to the current sale, I was able to get all three sets for $191 delivered - an excellent bargain! I was very impressed with the 6032cf and 9633cf tweeter enhancement switch which adds an extra 3 db if needed (and in her car it did since her stock headunit only has bass, midrange, and treble adjustments.) When we tested out some of our favorite rock tunes (particularly sections with heavy bass,) they performed so impressively that my wife commented that it sounds like my car with the subwoofer ... only she doesn't have one. I was looking for a high quality, yet affordable speakers to put in the doors of my Toyota FJ Cruiser. These are exactly what I was looking for. The speakers are of very solid construction - solid metal with a rubber and metal woofer and two-way tweeter with 3db boost option. The upper end is very, very clear providing great range for voice and higher-end instruments. The speakers work best with a sub-woofer that helps to balance out the low end. I considered Alpine and Infinity Kappa series when evaluating speakers. Both of them had a stronger low-end but much weaker high-end. These speakers, like most Infinity speakers, are well made. Sound is excellent when hooked to an external amplifier. But please watch out for the details of what comes with this speaker set. You get the speakaers, foam material for installation and that's it. No grills, no installation hardware, such as screws, no speaker wires, and no terminals. Luckily enough, I was not aware that I puchased the newer version of a set of speakers I already had, so I could reuse the old grills and hardware. The set is worth what Amazon sells it for, but it would of been nice to have updated grills.

how do i get sound from infinity car speakers with an aftermarket stereo?

My new Infinity car speakers don't sound as good? Why?
Jul 02, 2008 by NSDI just installed 2 pairs of Infinity 6022si speakers in my car, but i am somewhat disappointed with their quality. the quality is better but not as much as i thought. Is it true that new speakers take time and get better once you use them more. (e.g. couple hundred hours of use)
simple:
most aftermarket speakers require more RMS (continuous) wattage than factory speakers and most radio's internal amplifiers don't have the necessary wattage to power them properly so they are underpowered, since the radio cant power them properly the radios internal amp is working overtime trying to power them and that makes it send out a distorted audio signal to the speakers
if you don't put or plan to put an amp on them it wont get any better, your best bet would be to look for speakers that don't require any more that about 35watts RMS each and have a high sensitivity -- A speaker with a sensitivity rating that's 3 dB higher than another speaker's only needs half as much power to deliver the same amount of sound.

- If you remove factory infinity and replace it with aftermarquet
the problem is that factory speakers are 1.5 ohms
the ones you are using now are 4 ohms
