This is just a great all round speaker. Well made. Very very good highs and nice deep bass. Love them! In order to maximize the efficiency of speakers you must seal the speaker properly. I bought some air conditioning soft foam filter mats and cut it to fit around the speaker edge (I used removable window sealer which feels a lot like playdoh to seal my front ones). I used foam around the edge of the spacers I bought where it meets the door. Doing this completely seals the back of the speaker from the front and increases the bass response 30 times at least, and the increases the efficiency and life of the speaker. Especially on door speakers!! Hope this helps someone!

I had to replace broken factory speakers (paper or cardboard material) on my Integra '97, so I went to the shop to listen different speakers for under $100/pair. Polk DB651s were definitely #1, but surprise was this Pioneer that sounded better than Infinity or Sony (again, these are under $100/pair speakers). Polk had a clear, balanced sound from bass to mid to high. These speakers were not as clear but were well balanced. So, I decided to put Polk speakers in front and Pioneer in the rear. Surprisingly, I could not hear much difference while driving, probably due to all the noise you get on the road. TS-G1643R speakers sound 1000x better than cheap factory speakers - I don't know if you can even buy something bad like what they put in the factory. Pros: - Installation was really simple. I've listened to many speakers in the store. Infinity Kappa, Polk, you name it. None sounded as good as these $45 Pioneers. I think the reason is that all other speakers "expect" you to install a subwoofer too. This pair, however, has a frequency response as low as 30Hz. I replaced the milk-jar-made Subaru factory ones with these and they sound better than I expected using the factory head unit. For $47 or so these speakers are a steal!

car 6.5 in speakers?
Feb 25, 2007 by Elliott BI currently own 6.5 speaker system, Sony Car bomb at my page. These speakers will not sound real good in my thoughts. My questions would notice the difference if i buy real kicker or skiing some 6.5 speaker system.
Dynamat ideas and receive some type of the R Alpine. Big difference. And any brand.
- yeah, for sure, the sony's or pioneer's sound good too....really any brand will be alright, its crazy how much wattage they make those little speakers to be now.....i've seen some 300 watt ones....i had lightning audio 220 watt's, thats a cheap off brand, and they sounded great.....6.5's are really nice and look great, easy to install, and sound great, very easy to find....generally chevy has pretty good speakers in there car, i dunno what kinda car you have, and ford puts shitty stock speakers in there cars.....

May 27, 2008 by Pain_of_Unhappiness2I have a rockford fosgate amp. 2 channel 35 watts per channel running some Sony Xplod red car speakers 5.25 components with little tweeters 120 watts over all-on a adapter plate to fit 6.5 hole, but I need it to be much more louder!!! I cannot afford the super high price speakers but a reasonable price. I listen to rock music alot. I have a one 12 sub-woofer for the good low bass. I love the 6x9 car speakers performance, but they don't fit in a 6.5 door sides. Thanks :o)
ive always used MB Quart components if the customer doesnt want to go on the much more expensive brands like Hertz and RE. they are capable of getting pretty loud and still give a good sound quality without distorting too much.
