G. Chambers Williams III: Pilot steers a course as top family hauler
Jun 10, 2011 | The market is quite crowded these days with excellent family crossover utility vehicles — so many, in fact, that trying to pick just the right one can be time-consuming.
But if the 2011 Honda Pilot is on your list of models to consider, and you check it out first, you might not have to look any further. It's the best eight-passenger midsize crossover on the market, although it's certainly not the least expensive.
For those who don't want to drive a minivan — like Honda's other great family hauler, the Odyssey — the Pilot might be the perfect alternative.
This is one of the most family-friendly vehicles ever built, and it's just as suitable for a long road trip as daily duties of hauling kids, dogs, soccer equipment and groceries.
The Pilot got a complete makeover just two years ago, which added a lot of new interior features and available technology.
For 2011, there are four trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring, and four-wheel drive is optional on all four. The base LX two-wheel drive costs $28,045 (plus $780 freight), and the four-wheel-drive LX lists for $29,645.

Why does the strong magnetic field of a 12" Car Subwoofer speaker, affect my heart beats???
Oct 04, 2007 by pain_of_unhappiness
When I was working around a 12" car subwoofer, [very close range] for some strange odd reason the intense magnetic field affected my heartbeat rhytums somehow. NO I DON'T HAVE A PACE MAKER!!!!!!!
It only happens when I work very closely around the subwoofer speaker, that my heart beats irregular. HOw strange this is!!!
NO! Seriously guys!!! Has anyone BEEN AROUND THOSE BIG SUBWOOFERS, CAR AUDIO SPEAKERS and gotten right next to it, at a very close range, behind the huge heavy OZ. speaker magnet???
RADIO IS NOT TURNED ON!!! I REPEAT!!! STEREO IS TURN COMPLETELY OFF!!!
You actually measure and check your pulse magnetic field does not affect your heartbeat as you think it is. MRI or magnetic resonance image thousands of times more magnetic energy, and they are not considered unsafe.
What kind of amplifier would go good with a Kicker 07DCVR122 12" Car Subwoofer?
Feb 08, 2581 by SRH Babe
im not an expert on subwoofers and amplifiers and i need to know this. i want this system to turn heads when im driving lol
is it this http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19553 (Dual 12" 2-Ohm 1600 Watts CompVR Vented Subwoofer Enclosure ), if so you will need a mono block (1-channel), CEA-compliant amp with about 800watts RMS @ 2ohms
here are my recommendations

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1224 8_JBL+GTO7001.html (700watts RMS)

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8515 _Kenwood+KAC-9103D.html ($170 900watts RMS)
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6595 _Kicker+ZX750.1.html (750watts RMS)
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7559 _Orion+HCCA-D2400.html (perfect match $350)
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1358 0_Polk+Audio+PA1200.1.html (perfect match)
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2809 _Rockford+Fosgate+Power+T10001bd.html (750watts RMS)
- I don't know that 1 12 inch CVR is going to turn heads, but a good amp to get for that sub would be a mono channel 400 or 500 watt Kicker amplifier.
As long as the amp rms between 300 and 500 watts you should be good to go. Don't get junk ie: Pyle, Legacy, Boss, American Pro, Lanzar, Sony, JVC, etc.
Stick with Kicker, MTX, Alpine, JL, Pioneer etc for amps.
If I were you I would get the CVX instead of the CVR. You would probably want around a 800 watt amp for that though.
Hoped this helped.
