Axiom Audio Home Theater Speakers Offer Sound, Value

Home theater speaker makers are a dime a dozen - as, of course, are their products. But not all of them offer as good a sound to dollar equation as Axiom's Epic Midi 175 system.

Not that you can't do better, especially if your budget allows you to lean more toward the higher end of the market, but for the relatively modest price of this system you're getting a lot of sound for the money.

Axiom Audio, which is headquartered in Dwight, Ontario, Canada, has apparently been in the biz for about three decades. Founder Ian Colquhoun is an alumnus of the National Research Council laboratory in Ottawa, where he apparently worked with Dr. Floyd Toole.

I visited that laboratory in the 1980's to interview Dr. Toole, who is well-known in audiophile circles; in fact, his and his associates' work helped usher in a kind of golden age of Canadian speaker makers, helping a variety of companies create excellent quality sound at affordable prices (and even at not-so-affordable prices, if I remember correctly).

I need a 15'' car subwoofer witch should i buy?

I should start hx2 or tarantula soundstream kicker l7 or Boston or less g5 12 'of what you have suggestions??
First off what are you looking for?Im assuming SPL/loud ass bass.And also,what do you mean by a "few" Bostons?How many.Boston are nice sounding speakers and if you went with 3 they would be louder than 1-15 ....I dont care what anyone says.Its simple physics.3 subs have more air displacement than 1....Now if I had to choose ,I would go with the 3 bostons just because its more elaborate than just 1 sub :).With the right box design,it could be sweet install.Plus 12's sound better than 15's anyhow.(IMO)

Now if the Bostons were not an option,then I would go with the L7's for bass.....The rockford would be my last choice UNLESS it was the "power" Hx2 series and not the punch hx2.As far as the Soundstream,I havent heard the subs before.I am a fan of their amps however...So I couldnt say
anything about their subs....Goodluck

UPDATE:To the Guy that said 1 L7 hit harder than the three JBL's...Several factors are the reason. 1.it was the LOWER quality JBL OR the BOX SPECS were incorrect and/or insufficient wattage was probably used.If I was to replicate the 3 JBL's to my specs,there is NO WAY 1 kicker would be louder or hit louder.Now the solo x would...but now we are talking SPL subs... Different ball game altogether ... you need to learn more about the subs before the instructions ... but wasn't X Solo, even if one chose him ... people dont sheeshh. Read these questions.

i want to find a good 15'' car subwoofer that is less than $150?

i found one sub that looks good but its only $68 and i wasn't shure if it would be worth it. the sub i was looking at is a Pyle PLBW154 Blue Wave 15" Subwoofer. i alredy have two kenwood db+ 12" subs and i wanted more bass......the amp i am going to use is a 600watt kenwood.....
pyle is crap i won't go with that. check out onlinecarstereo.com there's a kicker 15" comp for 100 bucks but i would spend the 60 extra bucks for the cvr.
